LoadedDiceLogoWhat happens when Loaded Dice Cast wants to talk genre TV?  We end up making up our own show.  Loaded Dice pops open some winter brews, tells some dick jokes, and talks about all those genre shows that happened over the last 10 years following on the heels of LOST.  Flash Forward, Terra Nova, The Event, V, Jericho, Heroes, Revolution and The Leftovers are all covered in extensive detail.  We discuss the power of "mystery" in genre writing, and why the networks just don't get it.  And so, after a review of the fantastic game Door Kickers from Attackturkey, we make our own show.  The premise:  ALL THE K CUPS ARE GONE.  #HOWWILLYOUGETBY.

We top the whole thing off with a draft of the "Talking Dead" Style aftershows for all of these great dramas.

The Force Awakens And So Do Our Loins

The episode you all have been waiting for is here!  The Loaded Dice Crew goes over and discusses, shot for shot the first teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII:The Force Awakens, geeking out at every turn but providing deep insightful analysis  AND A DELUGE OF DICK JOKES.  Like, a lot of dick jokes.  We speak of Stormtroopers, E-11s, E-12s, Soccer Robots, Fudgesicle Speeders/Domobile, John Williams Soundtracks and THE MILLENIUM FALCON.

We ask the important questions, that no one is asking, like "What's up with that lightsaber?"  And we're not just talking about the one the Sith Holds.....DUN DUN DUNNNNNN...
And, in the draft we ask:  "What was John Boyega thinking in the first scene?"
Dubs and Marshall, from the Not So Silent Protagonists join us for the podcast, and also provide a review of Smash Brothers 4 for the Wii U and 3DS.

Kevin shows up to the podcast fashionably late and fueled by harpoon beers and we promptly go right off the rails (speeder lane?)

Speculation, excitement and geeking out abounds in this latest episode of Loaded Dice Cast!

Our intrepid heroes embark on an examination of the South Park Episode "Cock Magic."  Dubs and Kevin are joined this episode by Gretchen, aka "The Wife-Unit" from the Whiskey Rebellion Podcast making her official Loaded Dice Cast debut.

We also bring back the traditional greeting of the Loaded Dice Cast, "How are you doing? What are you drinking? And what have you been playing lately?"

We ask all of the important questions like "Why is Randy Marsh so great?"  and "Why is South Park taking on Magic The Gathering now?"

We debate whether this inclusion in South Park in some way heralds the "arrival" of Magic: The Gathering, and where does "Cock Magic" stand in the pantheon of other South Park gaming/nerd related episodes.

Finally, everyone really wants to know.  Exactly how does "The Amazing Randy" do his cock magic?
We hope you enjoy another great episode of Loaded Dice Cast

Edge of the Empire

We begin on the Edge of the Empire...

It is a period of Civil War....  A mysterious group of unlikely allies meets aboard the Lambda Shuttle Tyderian.

Welcome to the Whiskey Rebellion, where the Loaded Dice Crew plays Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Tabletop Roleplaying game.

In this episode we begin our adventure with a Prelude before we start main adventure in the Star Wars universe.

Evan Loaded Dice, our fearless GM, beloved friend, and intrepid podcast hero sets us up on a "Cold Open" for us.  We start learning the basics of how to play Edge of the Empire, and we start getting a feel for Evan's spin on the Star Wars universe.

We play characters that were assigned to us, instead of our main characters, and start our adventure far away from where our heroes will eventually start their journey.

Pull up a glass of Blue Milk, light those Death Sticks if you got em' and join us on this sneak peak into the Edge of the Empire.   A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far Far Away....

The party is on!  The Nerds have won and we are celebrating.   At times by getting into an awkwardly long winded debate about the relative merits of the upcoming Marvel and DC movies, (like you do) but no, seriously, we're partying!

Dubs Derek Kevin Vince and Evan fill up the boat and float along the sweet river of popular culture. Also know as the "Main Stream."  (Heh)
We talk about the rise of the nerd in pop culture, tracing it from Nintendo, to the Lord of the Rings films, to the work Marvel Studios is doing, to modern gaming and board games.  We are celebrating that "I told you so" moment when the rest of the world realizes all of the things we thought were cool actually ARE cool.  Because they are cool!
Evan gives us a break and reviews Shadows of Mordor.  Marshall, from the Not So Silent Protagonists crop dusts Dubs.  Basically, everything you would expect at a nerd party.
So strap on you party hats, put on your dancing shoes, get equipped with some drinking gauntlets, and let's push up our glasses!

Join Josh and Dubs as they examine all things The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra while sipping brews.  There's nothing quite like waxing philosophical over a children's cartoon while enjoying an adult beverage.

But that's just it, isn't it.  There's enough here to pull back the layers, and pull back the layers we do.  We are starting with the current season of Legend of Korra, Book 4.  This podcast examines the first episode: After All These Years.
We ask the important questions, like "What's the Story So Far?" And "What is the Earth Kingdom up to?" and "Seriously, how do you have water arms?  WHAT DO THEY GRIP ON TO?"
The latest season is available online via Nickelodeon.  Hope you enjoy it.
